It all started from the idea of The Rock FM radio announcer, Robert Taylor and Jono Pryor, to bring the listener as well as Holden and Ford Mustang enthusiasts. Where a strong debate about it led to the idea to combine the Ford Mustang and Holden to become "Folden."
The project begins with a command from Todd Wylie, representatives NZV8 Magazine. A 1970 Holden Kingswood trimmed on the front, and a snout-owned 1969 Ford Mustang and taped together smoothly. Robert and Jono said that Folden development takes approximately 3 months with 800 hours working period. It costs approximately 85,000 New Zealand dollars (equivalent to USD 576 million).
